We kicked off our Any Door tour February 17 with stops at Northland Community and Technical College in East Grand Forks and Thief River Falls. MnSCU Online support center staff received a warm welcome from staff at the college and even got a tour from a couple of enthusiastic students.
Not only did we share our role in supporting students, but we learned about the college and what they offer students. Here’s a taste of what we learned:
- Northland is launching two new online degree programs for fall 2016. Apply today for the Dietetic Technician AAS or Digital Marketing AAS and get the skills you need for a job in these high-demand fields!
- Faculty teaching online courses at Northland are leaders in meeting Quality Matters Standards. At this time, 27 online courses have gone through the Minnesota Online Quality Initiative program and received Quality Matters certification. What does this mean? The design of these online and blended courses can reduce barriers to learning online and result in improved student learning, retention and satisfaction.
With so much to offer, consider taking your life north!
