Minnesota Manufacturers Week

This week we are celebrating Minnesota Manufacturers Week (October 22-28), by highlighting manufacturing’s importance to the Minnesota economy. There are events happening all over the state, including the Statewide Tour of Manufacturing. Check out the Fast Facts infographic below provided by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) for some great statistics regarding our state’s manufacturing industry.

In 2012, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) partnered with the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce and DEED to address the state’s growing skills gap in manufacturing and other industries.

As a MnSCU Center of Excellence, 360° MN has “joined forces with education and industry partners to answer the need in Minnesota to attract, prepare, and empower the next generation of highly skilled workers.” 360° and partner institutions are offering online eTECH programs designed to help students and incumbent workers advance their education and start on a career pathway in advanced manufacturing.

If you have questions about Minnesota Manufacturers Week or the 360° eTECH programs available, please contact the Minnesota Online Advising Team.
