Charting Your Course – Online Career Workshop for Veterans

According to a March 14, 2012 news release, enrollment of veterans and service members at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has increased by 57 percent since 2008. As colleges across Minnesota continue to improve services for these students on campuses, Minnesota Online is doing the same for online learners.

For veterans, service members and their families who are unsure about education and career goals, Minnesota Online offers three levels of support in the exploration of potential careers and academic programs:

Level One: Interactive MyMilitary Online Career Workshop

This free, two-week workshop offers participants an opportunity for in-depth personal assessment and goal-setting in relation to career planning. Workshop activities will allow individuals to explore careers, academic programs and majors, and military education benefit resources. Participants can expect to take part in online discussions, submit exercises and receive feedback from a career counselor.

Workshop Dates: April 2 – April 16, 2012 (register by March 28, 2012)

Level Two: Self-Directed MyMilitary Online Career Workshop

Level Three: Individualized Career and Educational Counseling Services
