According to a March 14, 2012 news release, enrollment of veterans and service members at Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has increased by 57 percent since 2008. As colleges across Minnesota continue to improve services for these students on campuses, Minnesota Online is doing the same for online learners.
For veterans, service members and their families who are unsure about education and career goals, Minnesota Online offers three levels of support in the exploration of potential careers and academic programs:
This free, two-week workshop offers participants an opportunity for in-depth personal assessment and goal-setting in relation to career planning. Workshop activities will allow individuals to explore careers, academic programs and majors, and military education benefit resources. Participants can expect to take part in online discussions, submit exercises and receive feedback from a career counselor.
Workshop Dates: April 2 – April 16, 2012 (register by March 28, 2012)
Veterans, service members and their families can visit www.mnscu.edu/military or email firstname.lastname@example.org for additional information on career workshop opportunities, educational counseling services and military education benefits.
