2013 is just around the corner and is offering each of us the chance to be awesome!
I’m not usually any good at making and keeping New Year’s resolutions, but this year is different. First, this year’s resolution is being made in partnership with my friends and coworkers. And second, doing awesome things makes me feel awesome!
Have you heard of Ann Curry’s #26Acts of Kindness? It’s really an inspiration that has gone viral. The idea is to do 26 random acts of kindness in honor of the 26 victims in Newtown, CT.
The Minnesota Online staff are generally pretty awesome at giving back year-round: we have a good cheer ambassador, a local VFW volunteer, a Santa Anonymous elf and a Meals on Wheels delivery gal (among many other volunteer activities our staff participate in).
But this year, in an attempt to be (and feel) even awesome-er, we have decided as a group to commit to #26Acts before the end of January. We’ll be posting our acts at our Facebook page and we’ll write a follow-up blog later to tell you all about it.
We hope you will consider some random acts of awesomeness too.
